Skills for Growth: Workforce Development Program

Skills for Growth is a Victorian Government initiative designed to aid small and medium Victorian businesses identify training and education opportunities that will benefit the business and develop the skills of their staff.

A Skills for Growth specialist will provide a free service to review staff skills, plan for the future of the business and identify training opportunities for your employees. The program will allow your business to identify its strategic priorities and direction and provide a tailored training plan for your staff.

Eligibility for this free service is that the business is Victorian-based, employs under 200 staff, has been operating for at least 12 months and is financially viable.

The cost of the training is the responsibility of the business; however in many cases employees are eligible for the Victorian Training Guarantee which entitles Victorians to a subsidised place in a recognised vocational training course.

GOTAFE is a registered Skills for Growth service provider, and can provide the Skills for Growth service.
