Widden Scholarship Widden

Widden Stud in NSW are generously awarding two scholarships to the most outstanding full time Diploma of Equine Stud Management first year students from the GOTAFE Rural Industries Campus, Wangaratta.

The scholarship is a three month position with Widden Stud from 1 November 2011 to 30 January 2012. During this time the successful applicants will be part of Widden’s yearling prep team and will travel with them to the Magic Million Sales on the Gold Coast.

This award is designed to give the winner a great start into the thoroughbred breeding industry with potential to embark upon their careers working on Widden Stud during their second year of study.

Selection of the winner is based upon criteria of 2011 Weanling Preparation performance, academic performance, practical industry skills and work ethic, attitude and general knowledge of the thoroughbred breeding industry. Consideration is also given to those who display a long term commitment to the breeding industry, and are likely to make a positive contribution to the industry.
