Irish National Stud Scholarship

An Irish National Stud Scholarship is offered every year to the most outstanding current student from the Diploma of Equine Stud Management. The scholarship provides six months study at the most prestigious school of its kind in the world.

The Scholarship covers airfares, accommodation and tuition. Selection is based on academic performance, industry skills and work ethics, attitude and general knowledge of the Victorian Thoroughbred Breeding Industry and a Student Appraisal from the Course Coordinator.

Applicants are interviewed by a representative from the Thoroughbred Breeding Industry, a nominee from the Rural City of Wangaratta and the Divisional Manager of Primary Industries Division of Goulburn Ovens TAFE.

North East Thoroughbreds Scholarship

National Centre for Equine Education VET in Schools students who are graduating from the Certificate II in Equine Industry and Certificate II in Agriculture (specialising in Horse Breeding) are invited to apply for the NET Scholarship.

This prestigious industry scholarship provides the successful applicant with two years free tuition in the on-campus Diploma of Equine Stud Management (inclusive of all tuition, materials, uniforms and excursion expenses) at the National Centre for Equine Education, Christensen Lane Campus in Wangaratta.
