Irish National Stud Scholarship
Each year, an Irish National Stud Scholarship is offered to the most outstanding final year student from the Diploma of Equine Stud Management.
This year, the NCEE are very fortunate to have a new sponsor, Mr Adam Sangster from Swettenham Stud, Nagambie. This generosity and commitment displays Mr Sangster’s high level of support for education within the Thoroughbred Breeding Industry.
The scholarship is an exceptional opportunity for the brightest new industry workers to gain invaluable skills and experiences during six months study at the most prestigious horse breeding school in the world.
The Scholarship covers airfares, accommodation and tuition. Selection is based on academic performance, industry skills and work ethics, attitude and general knowledge of the Victorian Thoroughbred Breeding Industry and a Student Appraisal from the Course Coordinator.
Applicants are interviewed by representatives from the Thoroughbred Breeding Industry, an Equine Veterinarian, and the Executive Officer of the Rural Industries Division of Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE.
Nominations are now closed for 2009. The winner will be announced at the Animal Sciences Dinner on September 19th.
