PROFILE - Alanna Kirley
NCEE Manager
Alanna is a veterinarian with experience with small animals and a keen interest in the equine sector. She graduated from Melbourne University in 1999 and worked in a mixed practice in Wangaratta for six months then worked in Cobram for four years in a mixed practice (dairy) as a senior veterinary associate. In 2004 Alanna moved to Wodonga and worked for a small animal clinic. She began working with GOTAFE in January 2007 in the Animal Sciences Department.
As the NCEE Manager Alanna is well qualified. She has Bachelor of Science(Zoology/ Physiology); a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons)and a Certificate IV in TAA. Alanna is registered with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board Of Victoria; the NSW Veterinary Surgeon's Board and Radiation License(NSW EPA); is an Accredited Mastitis Advisor (CountDown Down Under)and a Accredited Microchip Implanter (AVA).
Alanna is a member of various organisations including the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA); University of Sydney Postgraduate Foundation in Veterinary Science (PGF); Australian Cattle Vets Association (ACAV); and Australian Small Animal Veterinarian Association (ASAVA).
Apart from looking after her own pets Alanna and her family have always been involved with their dairy/beef farm and horses with brood mares (TB) and their own stallion and she grew up riding and handling horses from a very young age.
