Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
2008 Outstanding Student of the Year - Wangaratta Campus

Meaghan is Equine Coordinator at the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic where she is responsible for developing client education programs. Meaghan has a Bachelor of Science and worked as a stablehand and track rider before steering her career into veterinary and equine nursing. She has also worked as a sessional lecturer at Victoria University in Companion Animal Husbandry and has worked overseas to gain greater experience.

"The course allowed me to grasp an understanding of how to inform clients at the clinic of the best way to treat their animals."

Meaghan is a competent eventer, track rider, coach and has previously been a Chief instructor, member of zone instructors panel as well as being involved in organisational duties running of EFA horse trails.

Meaghan decided the Equine Nursing course would be great to add to her animal care portfolio of experience. Meaghan undertook the Certificate III in Equine Nursing in 2007 and was awarded top Equine Nursing student in the Animal Science awards.

After completing the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2008 Meaghan was awarded the 2008 Outstanding Student of the Year Award for the Wangaratta Campus.

Meaghan enjoyed the course from start to finish: "I found the enrolment process not only informative but also tailored to my individual needs, which made me comfortable beginning the course. It's certainly been a worthwhile experience."
